The Demise of Veteran Actors:Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor, and Sushant Singh Rajput (A Huge Loss for Bollywood)

Not just Bollywood or India, almost the whole world is weeping on the sudden demise of veteran actors like Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor, and Sushant Singh Rajput. This trio has contributed a lot of the success of Bollywood in several forms, but gone too soon! The world is crying!

Where Irrfan khan and Rishi Kapoor died of prolonged illness, Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide at the age of 34.

Irrfan Khan– A Bollywood Actor renowned internationally for roles in the hit films

He was known for his understated and nuanced performances all around the world and become India’s most talented actors.

In 2018, the actor disclosed he had a neuroendocrine tumour, a rare cancer. He later underwent treatment in a hospital located in London for the illness that affects cells that release hormones into the bloodstream.

He has been in the intensive care unit (ICU) in a Mumbai hospital with a colon infection. But on 29 April 2020, he took his last breath.

The untimely demise of Irrfan Khan is the biggest loss to Indian Cinema. He was buried at the VersovaKabristan cemetery in Mumbai. All his family, friends, and close relatives were present.

It was the second tragedy for his family in under a week. Four days earlier to Irrfan’s death, his mother died in Jaipur at the age of 95, and he could not attend her funeral due to lockdown.

Many Bollywood stars and politicians paid tribute on social media and expressed their grief.

Rishi Kapoor– Bollywood’s Original Chocolate Boy

After a two-year battle with Leukemia, the veteran Bollywood actor died in hospital at the age of 67.

He was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and returned to India last September following treatment in New York. He passed away peacefully on 30 April 2020 in the Mumbai Hospital on the very next day of Irrfan Khan’s demise.

According to the statements, it was revealed that he kept doctors and medical staff entertained to the last. He stayed jovial and determined to live to the fullest right through two years of treatment. He was also grateful for the love received from his fans worldwide.

The statement also recommended his fans and well-wishers to regard India’s current lockdown restrictions, noting: “He would not have it any other way.”

Sushant Singh Rajput– The Small Town Boy Turned Superstar

He was found hanging at his apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra on 14 June 2020. He left no suicide note at his residence, confirmed by the police. The preliminary postmortem report of Sushant Singh Rajput reveals the cause of the actor’s death was hanging.

He was said to be under stress and depression for the last 6 months. The police had also found some medical reports from this residence. A few samples have also been sent to Kalina Forensic Lab for further investigation. The actor’s body has been kept at Copper Hospital Mortuary. The last rites will be performed today (15 June 2020).

The sudden demise of the ‘Chhichore’ actor has left the Indian film industry and the country in deep shock. The Bollywood personalities mourn the loss of the talented artiste at the age of 34.
