Shakuntala Devi

This Vidya Balan starer, the biographical movie, was slated for a May 8 release. Still, wistfully with everything under lockdown, the movie will now see a universal release on Amazon Prime Video anytime between May and August. The film is beloved to many as we’ve grown up learning about the great mathematician, Shakuntala Devi also known as the ‘The Human Computer’ to the world. The movie also has Jisshu Malhotra, Sanya Malhotra, and Amit Sadh acting in the movie.

Gulabo Sitabo

It is always a feast to the eyes to watch Mr. Bachchan on screen, and all you Big B fans out there are keenly waiting for the release of Shoojit Sircar’s, Gulabo Sitabo, Ek Priceless Jodi. Starring beside Mr. Bachchan is Ayushmann Khurrana, another remarkable actor who has given several splendid performances over the years! This film is about a quirky family releasing on Amazon Prime Video on June 12. Composed by Juhi Chaturvedi, who has written narratives like Piku and Vicky Donor, this one appears promising!

Ghoomketu

This forthcoming Hindi film with Nawazuddin Siddiqui at the helm, Ragini Khanna, and Anurag Kashyap in leading roles, spins around an ambitious writer’s life who is attempting to make it big in the Indian film industry. The comedy-drama will be released, particularly on Zee5. Ghoomketu is releasing on OTT platforms with a release date of May 22. YAY!

Laxmmi Bomb

A remake of the South Indian movie, Muni 2: Kanchana, Laxmmi Bomb stars the powerhouse performer Akshay Kumar as the protagonist. Akshay Kumar represents the role of a man who is controlled by the ghost of a transgender. If the first appearance of the movie is anything to go by, then this one is going to be a firecracker! To assure that the movie reaches a broad audience, they are presently in discussions with Disney+Hotstar, and the producers are assuming that the film will be available for a digital release by June. The cast of this movie also involves Kiara Advani, Tusshar Kapoor, SobhitaDhulipala.

Ludo

The Dangal girls are all set to fascinate you in Ludo. Directed by Anurag Basu, it stars a whole cast of Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Pankaj Tripathi. Exactly like in ludo, you have four houses; the film has four separate storylines that’ll unite together in the end! According to rumours, the film rights have been purchased by Amazon Prime Video to get the film released on their platform.

Jhund

Centered on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO Slum Soccer. This will be Mr. Bachchan’s third 2020 movie. It sure seems like Mr. B is on a roll.  Big B will project the role of a football expert who drove street kids to form a football team. The filming started back in 2018 and will now taste the sweet victory as it will stream on Amazon Prime Video. So, sports buffs, let’s kick it off?

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl

The most expected release of 2020, Gunjan Saxena, is one of the most awaited biopics. Janhvi Kapoor will represent the role of Indian Air Force Flight Lieutenant Gunjan Saxena. Gunjan Saxena, along with Srividya Ranjan, was the country’s first female air force pilots to take part in a battle mission during the Kargil war in 1999. The class apart actor P Pankaj Tripathi plays the role of her father while Angad Bedi is in a supporting role. Produced by Dharma Productions, the film will be released on Netflix, but the date is not concluded yet.
